Midland Park
Basalt, CO

In cooperation with Connect One Design and the Town of Basalt, BMC is overseeing the ongoing design and construction of Midland Park, which was approved as an amenity to the adjacent Basalt Regional Library. Designed as a passive retreat along the Roaring Fork River, the park features a natural trail system that weaves through areas of solidarity and intrigue that include a gathering tree with fire pit, observation decks, and river exploration area. The park also incorporates several acres of engineered wetlands that count towards mitigation for wetland removal elsewhere in the town. Interpretive signage allows visitors to learn about the riparian fauna and raptor habitat that is preserved on-site.
